Who's News for July 30, 2016

The National Society of High School Scholars recently announced that Cloverdale High School student ANNIKA R. WHITLOCK was selected to become a member of the organization.
A junior at CHS, Annika is the daughter of Todd and Dianna Whitlock of Cloverdale.
She is active in FFA, FCA and is a member of the volleyball team. She serves on the Putnam County Youth Philanthropy Committee.
NSHSS recognizes top scholars who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship and community commitment.
Members of the society automatically become lifetime members. At each step along the way -- from high school to college to career -- NSHSS connects outstanding young scholars with the resources they need to develop their strengths and pursue their passions.

LORA BUSCH, the career and technical education director at Area 30 Career Center, was recently honored for her work as president of the Indiana Association of Career and Technical Education Districts, which is the association of all state career and technical education directors in Indiana.
Busch was presented with the Past President's Award in Brown County at the annual director's retreat.
A local student was among the 312 named to the spring 2016 dean's list at Manchester University.
ZANE YON, a freshman majoring in sports management, was honored.
Yon, of Greencastle, is a South Putnam graduate.
The scholars achieved a 3.5 GPA or higher while enrolled in at least 12 credit hours of classes this spring.
