Old National Bank collecting 'tools for schools'
In collaboration with the Putnam County Comprehensive Service, Old National has announced its annual "Tools for Schools" campaign -- a community wide collection drive of school supplies for disadvantaged youth in grades K-12.
This campaign helps ensure that none of the children in our local communities will go without the basic needs during the upcoming school year.
The campaign will run to Aug. 15, and donations can be made in any of Old National's banking centers during normal business hours.
In addition, Old National has implemented the use of a "Wish List" via Amazon.com where the community can purchase donations and ship directly to an Old National collection site.
Some suggested items of donation include:
- Backpacks for all ages
- Calculators -- regular, solar-powered, scientific
- Combination locks
- Binders and folders
- Protractors, rulers, compasses
- Glue and scissors
- Three-subject and five-subject notebooks, loose-leaf paper
Old National volunteers will collect all donated items, and work with the Putnam County Comprehensive Service organization for distribution.
