James Earl Mitchell

James Earl Mitchell, 73, of Cloverdale, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at his residence.

James was born in Indianapolis on July 31,1942 to James F. and Nettie L. Mitchell.

Jim was a great and hardworking man.

A loving husband to Carol (deceased) and father to Rick (Leslie) Mitchell, Rhonda (William) Disney and David (Dona) Mitchell.

Jim had four grandchildren, Emily, Erin, Jesse and Caroline, that were his world.

He was called the best uncle that anyone could ask for. Jim loved to spend time with his family. He almost always had a smile on his face. Enjoyed a good joke and a contagious laugh.

Jim was retired from the Indianapolis Chrysler Foundry.

Other than his love of family, he enjoyed Indycar racing, New York Yankees baseball and going boating.

He was an avid lover of Westerns, especially "Gunsmoke."

Jim was a music lover. His favorite singers were Elvis Presley, Dean Martin and Patsy Cline.

Jim went home to heaven to be with his beautiful true love "Carol."

A private celebration of Jim's life was held.
