Puckett retirement ceremony planned Aug. 18

After nearly 30 years in service of Greencastle Community School Corporation, Superintendent Dawn Puckett will be honored with an Aug. 18 retirement open house.

The event will take place from 3:30-5 p.m. at the GCSC Central Office, 1002 Mill Pond Lane.

Having served as superintendent for more than three years, Puckett announced her retirement this spring, and the search to replace her is nearing completion, with her last day set for Aug. 31.

Prior to her time as superintendent, Puckett served as a middle school English teacher, technology integrator and assistant superintendent.
