Scouts salute 100 Men Who Care for donation

Thursday, August 4, 2016

To the Editor:

Boy Scout Troop 99 wants to publicly thank the 100+ Men Who Care of Putnam County for their generous support of the troop.

Their grant will allow us to replace aging equipment, some of which has been in service for more than 20 years. We will be able to upgrade our tents, our stoves, and acquire the additional items needed for the Troop which now has 39 Scouts.

Troop 99, operating under a charter granted to First Christian Church in Greencastle, has been working with young men in the area for more than 75 years.

This grant will allow us to continue show and teach the Scout way to youth for many, many years.

We thank them for their support.
