UPDATED: Football scrimmages set for Friday night

Putnam County high school football teams will participate in controlled scrimmages on Friday night, with three schools playing at home and one on the road.

The CORRECTED schedule is:

7 p.m. -- Greencastle at Southmont, Cloverdale at South Vermillion

7:30 p.m. -- Indianapolis Ritter at North Putnam, Indianapolis Lutheran at South Putnam

The scrimmages are run according to guidelines issued by the Indiana High School Athletic Association, which dictate a certain time period or number of plays for each team to alternate having possession of the ball.

Other rules limit the number of plays for which each player may be on the field. The scrimmages are scripted to last 130 minutes.

Also Greencastle is at Southmont.
