IHS to host U.S. History Teachers Association Workshop

The Indiana Historical Society (IHS) will host its third annual U.S. History Teachers Association Workshop Friday, Aug. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center in Indianapolis.

Participants will be eligible for six professional grown plan (PGP) points and have the opportunity to share lesson ideas, hear from speakers and network with other teachers. Suggestions include a fun class demonstration, activity or interesting way of addressing state standards.

This year's guests are bestselling author James Alexander Thom; his wife, Dark Rain; and award-winning biographer and IHS Press Interim Senior Director Ray Boomhower.
