Second flight added to benefit scramble for Payton Pritchard

Morning and afternoon flights are available in the Payton Pritchard Benefit Golf Scramble, set for Saturday, Aug. 20 at Old Hickory Golf Course north of Greencastle.

Morning registration begins at 7:30 with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Afternoon registration is at 2:30 with a 3 p.m. shotgun start.

Entry fee is $200 for a four-person scramble team. Person may call Chris Haas to register at 720-8435.

Winning team will receive a $400 prize.

Lunch will be provided. Putnam Inn is donating the food, organizers said.

Putting, long drive and closest-to-the-pin contests are planned.

Hole sponsorships and donations for prizes and a 50/50 raffle are being sought.

A cornhole tournament will be held after morning golf. Entry fee is $30 per team.

The scramble event -- organized by friends of Payton Pritchard who urge local residents to "Pray for Payton" -- will help raise funds for treatment and care of the 25-year-old son of Natalie and Jim Pritchard, who was seriously injured in a Aug. 4 ATV accident sooth of Greencastle. He remains hospitalized.
