Putnamville Correctional Facility recently announced that Keith McDonald of Linton has joined PCF and been promoted to lead investigator in the Investigations and Intelligence Department (I&I), formerly Internal Affairs.

McDonald started his law enforcement career in 1985 with the Linton Police Department as a patrolman. He has worked in many areas such as the drug task force, undercover operations, firearms instructor, lead detective and certified polygraph expert. He also served as the Linton Chief of Police for five-and-a-half years, retiring after 26 years of service.

McDonald started his correctional career at Wabash Correctional Facility in 2013, hiring in as an Internal Affairs Officer.

"We value the wealth of knowledge and experience that Mr. McDonald brings to Putnamville," Superintendent Brian Smith said.

McDonald has promoted Leann White of Greencastle to the position of secretary for his department.

White was formerly a clerical assistant in the mail room at Putnamville and will now be an asset to the I&I Department.
