* At 10:59 a.m. on Wednesday, Martha J. Whiting, 65, Coatesville, was eastbound on County Road 550 North, east of County Road 850 East in a 2006 Volvo V70.

Whiting told Deputy Virgil Lanning she got off the right side of the road and couldn't correct before hitting a utility pole.

The vehicle was towed. Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.

* At 9:10 a.m. on Tuesday, Emily C. Crawley, 22, Greencastle, was westbound on U.S. 40 in a 2015 Toyota Corolla. Julia M. Dixon, 58, Indianapolis, was southeast bound on County Road 200 South in a 2014 Toyota RAV4, attempting to turn left onto U.S. 40.

Crawley told Capt. Tom Helmer she was in the left lane passing a box truck that was turning onto 200 South. She said Dixon pulled onto U.S. 40 into her path of travel and she could not avoid the collision.

Dixon told Helmer she did not see Crawley's vehicle because her view was apparently obscured by the box truck.

The right front of Crawley's vehicle collided with the left front of Dixon's. The vehicles ended up in the median side by side, just west of the point of impact.

Dixon was taken to Hendricks Regional Hospital by Operation Life complaining of chest pain and minor bleeding on her arms.

Crawley suffered bruising to her upper arm area but signed a medical release.

Helmer was also assisted at the scene by Deputy Scott Ducker and Jefferson Township Fire Department.

Both vehicles were towed. Damage was estimated at $10,001-$25,000.

* At 1:50 p.m. on Monday, Stacy L. Beam, 33, Indianapolis, was eastbound on Interstate 70 in a 2003 Pontiac Vibe.

Beam told Capt. Helmer she was traveling approximately 70 miles per hour when her food came unhinged and raised up, shattering her windshield and damaging the top of her vehicle.

She was able to driver her vehicle to the median. Neither Beam nor her passenger were injured.

Beam told officers that the owner of the vehicle, Daniel Britton of Spencer, had checked the oil level the night before and apparently not gotten the hood latched.

Helmer was assisted at the scene by State Trooper DuJuan McFadden and Cloverdale Police Officer Tyler Turner.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.

* At 3:25 a.m. on Monday, Terry A. Faulkner, 46, Indianapolis, turned southbound onto County Road 1000 East off of U.S. 40 in a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado.

According to Sgt. Kyle Gibbons, the vehicle drove up a guy wire just south of the intersection, causing the truck to overturn. The vehicle came to rest on its passenger side with Faulkner not suffering significant injury.

A blood test was administered and Faulkner was booked in the jail for driving while intoxicated.

Gibbons was assisted by Deputy Anthony Brown.

Damage was estimated at $10,001-$25,000. The truck was towed.

* At 5:50 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, Brian J. Benton, 38, Indianapolis, was southbound on County Road 825 East in a 1992 GMC Yukon.

Benton told Deputy Brown he attempted to follow a 90-degree turn in the road. Instead, the vehicle continued straight, leaving the road and entering the yard at 298 Jefferson Valley.

The vehicle struck a small wood sign.

Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.
