New Life Baptist invites public 'Back to Church'

Friday, September 2, 2016

New Life Baptist Church is partnering in a national movement calling everyone "Back to Church."

The prayer is for people who have never attended church or who once attended church but don't anymore will come to church on Sunday, Sept. 18.

That Sunday has an extra significance, as New Life began to meet together in Greencastle 23 years ago in the basement of the U.S. Department of Agriculture building on U.S. 231.

Since that beginning the congregation has moved locations to meet their needs. In 1997, they built on their current location at 51 Ridgeway St.

This year there is another motivation in coming "Back to Church" at New Life Baptist Church. The church body has just called Dr. Scott Kallem to serve as its pastor.

Dr. Kallem comes to New Life with 20 years of pastoral experience. To mark this special time, Dr. Kallem will be begin a six-week sermon series titled "Build a Church" that will begin on Sept. 4.

The New Life church family invites the public to worship, grow and serve with them every Sunday for Sunday school at 9 a.m. and worship at 10:15.

There is an extra special day planned for Sunday, Sept. 18. Come to church that day and stay for lunch.
