Humane Society of Putnam County sets Celebration Night Sept. 10

The Humane Society of Putnam County will stage its inaugural Celebration Night on Saturday, Sept. 10.

A fun night of celebration and reflection on the success of the animal shelter's reopening last fall, important animal care programs available for county residents, the Rescued Treasures Store and more are promised.

The event is scheduled for the Putnam County Fairgrounds Community Building. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with a spaghetti dinner being served from 5:30-7:30 p.m. There will a be a cash bar available, music provided by PPZ Mobile DJ and a silent auction.

All proceeds from the event will benefit animals in need in Putnam County. Event tickets are $10. Each event ticket includes dinner and enables one to bid in the silent auction. Children seven and under may attend for free.

The silent auction will include a variety of items donated from around the community. Items include home décor, name-brand women's purses, children items, professional photography sessions, Kings Island tickets, Longaberger baskets, Scentsy merchandise, gift certificates from restaurants and business, gift baskets, animal friendly gift baskets and more.

There will also be a raffle drawing for four one-day passes to Disney World. The passes are valued at more than $600 and will allow the winner to enjoy any of the parks at Disney World.

Raffle tickets are available now for $10 each. They will be sold until the drawing at the celebration event. The winner does not need to be present to win. The silent auction and raffle ticket sales will end at 8 p.m. that evening.

Raffle tickets and event tickets are available now for purchase at Rescued Treasures during normal business hours Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Both tickets will also be available for purchase in front of the store from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 6 and 8. Raffle and event tickets may also be purchased at the event.
