Low-cost microchipping clinic announced

Sunday, September 11, 2016

The Humane Society of Putnam County is sponsoring a low-cost microchip clinic for dogs owned by Putnam County residents.

The clinic will be held Saturday, Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of the Rescued Treasures Store at 1021 Indianapolis Rd. (next to Goodwill).

The cost is $10 per dog, payable by cash or check. There is no limit, but only bring as many dogs as you can handle at one time.

Owners should bring proof of their dog’s rabies vaccination, either a current rabies tag or a veterinarian’s form indicating that the dog is current on its rabies shots. All dogs should be on a non-retractable leash.
