‘The Purpose Driven Life’ study begins at Cornerstone Baptist

Saturday, September 17, 2016

Cornerstone Baptist Church invites the community to study “The Purpose Driven Life,” a book that has transformed millions of lives.

Two basic questions everyone faces in life are “Why am I here?” and “What is my purpose?”

Self-help books suggest that people should look within, at their own desires and dreams, to figure out their purpose. Author Rick Warren, in “The Purpose Driven Life,” states the starting place must be with God and His eternal purposes for each life.

Warren believes that real meaning and significance comes from understanding and fulfilling God’s purposes for putting us on earth.

Since its release, the book has been translated into 85 different languages and has become the bestselling non-fiction hardback book in history, according to Publisher’s Weekly. Famous (Michael Phelps) and non-famous people have credited this book with helping turn their lives around.

Cornerstone Baptist Church is going to study “The Purpose Driven Life” this fall on Sunday evenings from 6-7:15 p.m. starting Sunday, Sept. 18. The church is located at 218 S. Bloomington St. in Greencastle.

Led by Richard and Sue White, the study is open to all in the community who are interested. All participants will need a copy of “The Purpose Driven Life.” Copies will be available to purchase for $10 at the study.

Call the church office at 655-1017 with questions or to request a copy of the book to be ordered. A few extra copies will be available for those who weren’t able to reserve a copy.
