Sunday, September 18, 2016

The Culinary Arts students at Area 30 Career Center will be creating and serving their first Ivy Gallery lunch of the school year on Friday, Sept. 30.

Serving time for the luncheon event is noon to 1 p.m.

Cost of the three-course meal, which doubles as a fundraiser for the program, is $10.75 per person. The price includes a drink and a three-course meal, appetizer of soup or salad, main entrée and dessert selections. It is an RSVP-only event due to limited seating.

Persons may make reservations by calling 653-3515 or responding via email to mbirt@area30.k12.in.us.

The Ivy Gallery is located within the Area 30 Career Center, adjacent to the cafeteria of the old IBM building off State Road 240 at Calbert Way in Greencastle.

The class “is a culinary program where students are learning many skills,” Culinary Arts instructor Mary Anne Birt said in announcing the event. “We are not competition with other restaurants as we are a learning site to feed into their restaurant.”
