PCPL sets 'Making and Baking with Bridgette' sessions

Thursday, September 29, 2016

For the fall season, the Putnam County Public Library will be hosting a five-part series titled "Making and Baking with Bridgette."

Activities will include making candles and bath bombs, baking various treats, and making homemade truffles. The series will be hosted by Bridgette Lang, a third-year student at DePauw University who has been a volunteer at the library for the last year.

Lang has been baking with her grandmother for as long as she can remember, which has instilled a love for cooking into her soul. She has also spent many years discovering new and exciting crafts that she can do from home.

Her goal for this series is to show the Putnam County community how a few easy steps can turn into beautiful (and delicious) creations.

All events will be free of charge, but pre-registration is encouraged. Patrons can sign up at the circulation desk of the library.

The schedule of events will be as follows:

Oct. 5 -- Bath Bombs, Kiwanis Room, 4-5:30 p.m.

Oct. 26 -- Candle Making, Kiwanis Room, 4-5:30 p.m.

Nov. 2 -- Crescent Roll Treats, Youth Services, 4-5:30 p.m.

Nov. 16 -- Truffles, Youth Services, 5-6:30 p.m.

Nov. 30 -- Old Book Artwork, Kiwanis Room, 5-6:30 p.m.
