Simulate All That You Can Be

With an interactive simulator of seven stations housed in a U.S. Army trailer, four recruiters from Terre Haute visit Greencastle High School Thursday to help identify career opportunities the Army offers beyond combat occupations. Sgt. Seneca Gonzalez (left) guides freshman Emily Crowder through the Mercer 4-D aviation simulator that stimulates the senses as it operates, while senior Whitney Weinschenk (right) tackles the Oculus Rift simulator providing a roller coaster experience through visual perception. Students also got to try out an Apache helicopter simulator, a Laser shot shooting range station and a Remote Ordnance Neutralization System that operates much like the claw machine so familiar in store lobbies or at the fair.
