Putnam County native Stanley graduates USAF basic training

Airman Byron E. Stanley of 322 Training/Flight 676, graduated from the Lackland Air Force Base in Texas on Oct. 8.

Stanley, of Coatesville, is a 2012 North Putnam High School graduate. He is also a Master Mason of the Coatesville Lodge.

Earning the Thunderbolt Level award for exceptional dedication to physical fitness and esprit de corps laying the foundation for success in the United States Air Force. Stanley and the entire Flight 676, earned the Top PT Flight out of the entire 18 graduating flights.

Stanley will now travel straight to Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, to join the 362nd Training Squadron to begin his academic training as a crew chief for the C-130 Hercules.

Stanley plans to continue his education in officers school over the next six years with the USAF.

Airman Stanley is the son of Tracy and Jason Reed of Cloverdale and Jeff and Kim Stanley of Coatesville.
