Patricia 'Patty' Fajt

Patricia "Patty" Fajt, 72, Plainfield, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

She was born in Latrobe, Pa., to Joseph and Mary (Brody) Vadas.

She married John Dennis "Denny" Fajt on June 6, 1964; he survives.

Patty was a homemaker, nursing home administrator, travel consultant and most importantly, a friend to many.

She was a member of P.E.O. in Paris, Ill., St. Susanna Catholic Church in Plainfield, and volunteered for many worthy causes.

Survivors include her husband Denny; children Lisa Burke and husband Mike; Jason Fajt and wife Beth; Mark Fajt and wife Whitney; Jennifer Andres and husband Dirk; Nicole Johnson and husband Sean.

Patty's beloved grandchildren were the light of her life -- Maureen "Mosie" and Maddie Burke; Matthew and Andrew Fajt; Jed and Allison Fajt; James, Christopher, Thomas and Mary Claire Andres; Brennen, Christian, Anthony, William and Dominic Johnson. Also surviving are her brother, Leonard Vadas and wife Sue.

Her brother, Robert Vadas, and parents preceded her in death.

Calling hours will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 at Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21 at St. Susanna Catholic Church with Fr. Glenn O' Connor officiating.

Private burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery.
