Robe-Ann Park to host Hunt for the Great Pumpkin Oct. 29

The Hunt for the Great Pumpkin is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 29 at Robe-Ann Park in Greencastle.

Registration will begin at 7:30 p.m. at shelterhouse No. 1 (overlooking the bandshell) with the hunt commencing at 8 p.m.

All youngsters in grades 6-8 are invited to attend as the Park Department puts a frightful twist on the favorite Easter activity of hunting eggs. Hidden within Robe-Ann Park will be 3,000 Halloween-colored eggs.

Children will have the opportunity to hunt for prize eggs with flashlights. Some will be candy-filed, some toy-filled with a great prize within some.

Cost of the event is $10 per person to search your eggs for special redemption tickets for prizes.
