Talk to a Lawyer project to launch at courthouse Nov. 1

Wednesday, October 26, 2016

Members of the public who cannot afford to hire an attorney are encouraged to take advantage of a free public service presented by the Putnam County courts and bar association, DePauw University, the Indiana Bar Foundation and Faegre Baker Daniels.

The "Talk to a Lawyer" project will launch on Tuesday, Nov. 1 from 5-7 p.m. at the Putnam County Courthouse in Greencastle.

Persons can meet with an attorney to ask basic civil (not criminal) legal questions.

Attorneys will provide free, one-on-one legal consultations as a community service with a focus on serving low-income.
