Celeste 'Skip' Carey

Celeste "Skip" Carey, 87, of Danville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 28, 2016.

She was born on Aug. 13, 1929 in Lake Wales, Fla., to W.V. and Mary Alice Collins, and they preceded her in death.

Survivors include her loving daughters, Debra (Mark) Walls and Alice Morgan; grandchildren Eric Morgan, Summer Walls, Wesley Morgan and Nicholas Walls; a great-grandchild, Paxton Ahoton; one sister, Dottie Gilbert, and ex-husband and very dear friend, Herbert Carey.

She was a wonderful mother, a beloved "Nana" and a loyal friend. Up until recently it was hard to catch her at home. She could never turn down a chance to play cards or go out to eat. She will be missed forever.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday Nov. 2 at Roachdale Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
