Francis Edward 'Frank' Waldon

Francis Edward "Frank" Waldon, 88, of Roachdale, passed away at Kindred Hospital in Indianapolis on Friday morning, Nov. 25, 2016.

He was born on Sept. 25, 1928 at Huntington, W.Va., to Jewel Everett and Julia Kathryn Dougherty Waldon.

Frank graduated from Thomas Carr Howe High School in Irvington in 1946.

He served nine years in the Navy as a hospital corpsman, including time during the Korean War.

He worked for Raybestos in quality control. He also worked for B & D Lumber and HiTek Lighting in Quality Control.

He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.

He loved to paint, watch football and NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife, Constance Marie, Danville; his siblings, John Charles (Rosalie) Waldon, of Tampa, Fla., and Judith Anne (Donald) McGaughey, of Bainbridge, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Jewel Everett Waldon Jr. and James A. Waldon.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Wednesday, Nov. 30 at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, Roachdale. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon. The American Legion and VFW will conduct military honors.

Burial will be in Roachdale Cemetery.
