Mildred I. Gorham

Mildred I. Gorham, 90, of Greencastle, passed away on Nov. 22, 2016 at her home at Autumn Glen in Greencastle.

She was born on Sept. 22, 1926 in Indianapolis to Perry and Ruth Huffman.

In 1945 she graduated from Stilesville High School.

Milly was employed by Eli Lilly for several years.

She married Kenneth C. Gorham on July 5, 1947, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 2009.

She was a member of First Christian Church and Christian Women's Fellowship.

Milly was very family oriented, spending her life as a devoted mother, loving grandmother and great-grandmother and simply a great friend to all. She will be greatly missed, but especially by those who called her Mom and Gram.

She is survived by her son, Kim Gorham (Laura); daughter Peg Lemley (Bruce); a granddaughter, Chelsea Hyduke (Ned); three grandsons, Ryan Lemley (Crystal), Kory Gorham and Nicholas Gorham (Kenda); and four beautiful great-granddaughters.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Autumn Glen who attended to Mildred's needs with love and compassion.

Private funeral services will be held at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with interment at Stilesville Cemetery.

Mildred requested no flowers, however memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice or display a smile or do a good deed for someone in her memory.
