Ivy Tech to host enrollment event for spring 2017

Ivy Tech Community College is hosting enrollment events at its Greencastle Campus, Avon site and Indy West site for the spring semester, which starts Jan. 17.

Registration deadline for 16-week classes is Jan. 9.

Ivy Tech will be hosting enrollment events Monday, Dec. 5 at the Greencastle Campus, 915 S. Zinc Mill Rd., as well as Dec. 1 at its Indy West location, and Dec. 8 at its Avon site. All events are from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Express Enrollment events make it convenient to complete enrollment steps and register for classes at Ivy Tech in one day.

Those interested in attending any of these events are encouraged to RSVP and learn more at www.ivytech.edu/enrollmentday.

At Express Enrollment events, attendees can meet with Ivy Tech representatives and receive assistance with enrollment steps, including filling out an application, completing orientation, assessment and advising.

To meet the assessment requirement, attendees can bring in their SAT/ACT/PSAT scores, high school transcript, college transcript, or take an assessment called the ACCUPLACER if needed. Attendees should arrive close to the start of the event to allow enough time to complete the enrollment process.

Programs offered at the Greencastle Campus include the General Education Transfer Core, which transfers to four-year institutions, Licensed Practical Nursing, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship and Human Services.

Students can earn their degree in these programs or take other classes that can be applied toward degrees at other Ivy Tech campuses. Services offered at the campus include admissions, advising, assessment, bookstore, financial aid, bursar, testing center and tutoring.

Ivy Tech’s Avon and Indy West sites offer a variety of general education courses including English, psychology, math, business and more.
