Realtor bingo night aids scholarhip fund

Thursday, December 1, 2016

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Putnam County Board of Realtors, I would like to thank everyone that attended our bingo event on Saturday, Nov. 12. This was our 15th bingo since we began holding this fundraiser back in 2009 and we had 156 bingo players on hand.

Proceeds from this event totaled just over $4,000, making the Putnam County Board of Realtor Scholarship Fund the biggest winner of the night.

I would especially like to thank our event sponsors for the bingo: Abstract and Title; Aames Title and Closings, Caliber Home Loans, Carpenter Realtors, Coldwell Banker Putnam Real Estate Center, Collins Evans Real Estate, Daniel Builder, Farm Credit Mid-America, First National Bank, Hayes, Murphy, Sharp and Brackney Insurance, Helmer Appraisal, Home Bank, Masten Real Estate Holdings, McCloud Electric, North Salem State Bank, Teachers Credit Union and F.C. Tucker Schneider Realty.

This event would not be possible without those that helped organize the event, set up tables, chairs and equipment before and after the event, plus those that volunteered their time, talents and resources. We greatly appreciate all those that donated door prizes and concession items as well.

Thank you to our members that helped the night of the bingo – Teresa Adams, Gina Carter, Tyler Cox, Traci Dobson, James Knoebel, Jeff Rich, Suzy Schneider, Jana Sillery and Cecil VanArsdale, we also appreciate the Greencastle High School National Honor Society members that assisted us with set-up and concessions. Plus those members that came out to play, and everyone that stayed after the event to help us clean up.

Any Putnam County high school senior that wishes to apply for a scholarship in 2017 can go to www.pcfoundation.org and apply through the Putnam County Community Foundation application.

Thank you for making our scholarships to Putnam County High School seniors possible.
