Christmas ‘Angel’ tree aids staff at PCF

Tuesday, December 20, 2016

PUTNAMVILLE -- Putnamville Correctional Facility, Supt. Brian Smith, along with the Promoting Positive Correctional Culture (PPCC) Committee were able to assist nine of fellow staff members this year with gifts for their children.

The PPCC set up a Christmas tree and placed anonymous “Angel” ornaments with the gender, age and items needed for children of families in need employed at Putnamville on it.

Each child was taken care of and there were even monetary donations coming from several other staff members to help as well as the Shifting Gears Program offering four refurbished and new bikes as presents.

“It is such a great thing to see our staff take care of each other and make the holiday season a bright one for everyone,” Supt. Smith said. “Thank you to all who played a part in this.”
