Alvia M. Allen

Alvia M. Allen, 59, of Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017.

Born July 5, 1957 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Louis and Dorothy Pavey.

Alvia was a homemaker and had worked for Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church for more than 20 years.

She is survived by her husband, James Allen; children Raymond Pavey, Bobbie Jo Cesnik and Thomas Slinker; a brother, Allen Pavey; a sister, Terry Pavey; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Alvia had requested that no services be held.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, has been entrusted with her arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made in Alvia's memory to the Putnam County Hospital Cancer Center or Rescued Treasures of Putnam County.
