Robert Earl Clodfelter

Robert Earl Clodfelter, a well-known area locksmith, passed away Friday, Dec. 30, 2016.

He was born Sept. 29, 1932 in Putnam County to Willis Leon and Nina Marguerite Clodfelter.

His parents moved to Russellville where he graduated from Russellville High School in 1950.

Robert worked for IBM in Greencastle and retired in 1987 and continued to build his locksmith business which he worked until his death.

Robert was a long-standing member of Russellville Christian Church, a bonded member of the National Locksmith Association, member of the Loyal Order of Moose 1592, Greencastle.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Leann; his children, Ed (Lorry), Ken (Cynthia), Mike and Renee (Rick) Dowell; his stepdaughter Sandy (Jon) Bennett; 10 grandchildren, Nicky,Tony, Jordan, Allyson, Lauren, Adrien, Kaylee, Brooke, Nicholas and Matthew; four great-grandchildren, Josh, Mia, Giovanna and Landon; and his sister, Joan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, stepson Randy Long and a great-granddaughter, Sophia Bonomo.

His hobbies were NASCAR racing with his favorite driver being Jeff Gordon and collecting sea shells along the Gulf Coast in Sarasota.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 4 from 4-8 p.m. at the Russellville Community Church with his services at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5 at the church. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery, Russellville.
