Having already made their initial appearances in Putnam Circuit Court Tuesday afternoon on multiple counts of burglary and other crimes, three Marion County residents could be facing further charges in the case.

Seth D. Bay, 40, Indianapolis; Regina C. Taylor, 36, Camby; and Christopher S. Horn, 42, Indianapolis, each face between five and seven charges in the case.

Bay and Taylor are each charged with five felonies and two misdemeanors, four counts of Level 5 felony burglary, one Level 6 felony theft charge and two counts of Class A misdemeanor theft.

Horn faces two Level 5 felony burglary charges as well as one count each of Level 6 felony theft, Class A misdemeanor theft and Level 6 felony unlawful possession of a syringe.

Although all three are believed to have been working together, the difference in charges springs from a man and woman believed to be Bay and Taylor being on the scene of a West Walnut Street burglary when the residents returned home.

Putnam sheriff’s Deputy Matt Biggs found Horn to be in possession of several hypodermic needles when he was arrested, leading to his drug charge.

A Wednesday search of the truck and trailer in the trio’s possession could to lead to further charges, PCSD Det. Doug Nally told the Banner Graphic.

In serving a search warrant on the truck and trailer, investigators confirmed their suspicians that both were stolen.

The truck, already believed by investigators to be a company truck of some sort, is a 2012 Ford F-150 stolen from the Davis H. Elliot Co. on Troy Avenue, Indianapolis.

In interviews with the suspects following their arrests, Nally was told that Bay stole the pickup prior to Dec. 31.

The trailer was also stolen from the Troy Avenue and Meridian Street area.

Nally added that the temporary plate found on the pickup was taken from yet another vehicle.

Although the thefts of these items took place outside of Putnam County and weren’t necessarily made by Bay, Taylor or Horn, they could all be charged with possession of stolen property.

Additionally, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a substance suspected to be heroin were also found in the truck, which could lead to more drug charges.

Deputies also learned that subjects matching the description of the three suspects were seen attempting to steal things out of a truck parked at the Millgrove Store in northern Owen County, which could lead to Owen County charges.

In court documents originally filed in the case, police allege that Horn, Bay and Taylor took part in three separate Putnam County incidents on New Year’s Eve.

In the first, they allegedly tried to take a generator from the bed of a truck parked at Motel 6 in Cloverdale. Unable to move the generator, which was chained and locked, one of the subjects allegedly stole a can of gas.

In the second incident, a garage was broken into and a pair of ATVs stolen from a Manhattan Road residence. The ATVs were later found in the stolen trailer in possession of the suspects.

In the last incident, a father and son returned to their West Walnut Street home to find a man and woman matching the descriptions of Bay and Taylor burglarizing their barn.

All three suspects entered not guilty pleas on Tuesday.

Judge Matt Headley appointed Scott Adams as Bay’s attorney and set bond at $25,000 cash only.

Taylor expressed her intent to hire her own counsel. Headley set her bond at $50,000 with 10 percent cash allowed.

Sidney Tongret will serve as Horn’s court-appointed attorney. Horn’s bond amount is $20,000 cash only.

All three are due in Putnam Circuit Court for pre-trial conference at 10 a.m. March 2.
