STILESVILLE -- Residents can raise a glass to raise funding for Hope Haven’s therapeutic horseback riding program at the second annual “Cheers to Hope Haven” on Friday, Feb. 10.

The beer and wine tasting event is scheduled from 6:30-10 p.m. at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds Conference Center at Danville.

Attendees will enjoy sampling a variety of artisan beers from local breweries and wine vendors. Food, live music and dancing will round out the evening, along with an opportunity to bid on silent auction items.

“We’ll be showcasing a few of the incredible inventions designed for us by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology’s Senior Capstone biomedical engineers,” Hope Haven Executive Director Christy Menke said. “These prototypes will positively impact the therapeutic riding industry as a whole, and we’ll also be unveiling our new 2017 project that is sure to wow the community.”

Proceeds provide funding for therapeutic riding lesson scholarships, therapy horse care and the new 2017 project.

Advance tickets are now on sale for $20 per person and can be purchased on the Hope Haven website under the donate tab. Cost at the door is $25 per person.

Table sponsorships (include advertising, tickets and table for eight) are $250 and provide VIP access to a pre-event tasting party from 6 to 6:30 pm. For advertising and table reservation information or advanced ticket purchase questions, persons may contact Christy Menke at cmenke@hopehavenhorsefarm.com or message Hope Haven, a 501(c)3 organization, on its Facebook page.

Through the use of innovative and responsive equine therapy techniques, both on and off the horse, Hope Haven seeks to improve the confidence, self-esteem and physical mobility of the people served.
