Victim’s condition delays gunshot case investigation

Thursday, January 26, 2017

With one of the involved men still in an Indianapolis hospital, Putnam County Sheriff’s Department detectives are still waiting to conclude the investigation of a Sunday-morning shooting at a Bainbridge business.

As was reported on Sunday, deputies responded to King Tiger British Motorcycle Repair around 1 a.m. when one man reportedly shot another.

PCSD Det. Sgt. Pat McFadden told the Banner Graphic on Sunday that until an interview can be conducted with the gunshot victim, it will remain unclear if the shooting resulted from an argument or a case of trespassing.

McFadden said on Thursday morning that the victim’s ongoing condition made an interview impossible until Friday at the earliest.

As such, no arrests have been made in the case and authorities are not releasing the names of those involved until the investigation is complete.

The man who was shot was transported to Methodist Hospital on Sunday morning and has undergone at least one surgery.

  • So the guy who did the shooting is just walking around free until they can find a "reason" he shot the guy........and the guy is in such bad condition he can't be interviewed. Ridiculous...
