Jonathan Jay Clark, 59, of Greencastle, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 3, 2017.

Mr. Clark was born April 6, 1957 in Greencastle to Leland and Betty Clark.

He served his country in the United States Army from 1976 until 1987.

In addition to his military career he worked as an automotive mechanic for various dealerships.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the American Legion.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol A. Clark; sisters Jennifer Stephens, Judy Layman (Richard) and Joyce Smithers; children Jonathan Lee Clark (Lisa), Candice Lynn Pelfrey (Troy) and Christopher Michael Clark; grandchildren Sarah, Kyley and Carter, and several beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Baker, and brother-in-law, Gary Stephens.

Committal services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7 in Fillmore Cemetery with military honors rendered there in recognition of his service to his country.

Following the committal at Fillmore Cemetery all are invited to join the family at a reception at the American Legion.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
