Stacy Lee Gentry Powers

Stacy Lee Gentry Powers, 53, Ladoga, entered heaven on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017 unexpectedly, due to complications from recent surgery. She was reunited with her beloved mother, Virginia Gentry, and her niece, Amber Powers Sparks.

Stacy was born April 18, 1963 in Crawfordsville.

She attended North Putnam High School.

Stacy married her best friend, Tod Powers, on April 16, 1983 at Ladoga Christian Church. They resided in Ladoga their entire 34 years of marriage.

Stacy worked at Walmart Optical Lab. She enjoyed playing bingo, playing scrabble, antiquing and camping with her family.

Stacy was a wonderful cook and baker and enjoyed sharing her talents with others.

Stacy is survived by her loving husband, Tod Powers, of Ladoga; her children, Cale Powers (Tracy Enlow), of Ladoga and Kacie Powers (Caleb Schenck) of Lebanon; father Dennis Gentry of Roachdale; sisters Denise Gentry (Fred Blaydes) of Roachdale, Robin Gentry McHugh of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and brother Tom Gentry (Janette Beauchamp) of Cloverdale.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale, with Jim Elless officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Stacy will be laid to rest near her mother in the Roachdale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made the Montgomery County Community Foundation, P.O. Box 334, Crawfordsville, IN 47933-0334, to the Amber Powers Sparks Memorial Scholarship in memory of Stacy Powers.
