A pair of incidents involving unconscious subjects were investigated recently by Greencastle City Police.

At 7:13 p.m. Wednesday, authorities were called to the vicinity of Black Lumber on North Indiana Street on the report of a suspected unconscious and intoxicated man.

After Operation Life ambulance personnel checked out the subject, Officer Zach Rhine ended up arresting Jason Sheridan, 42, Greencastle, on four charges -- public intoxication, resisting law enforcement and two counts of intimidation.

Under portable breathalyzer testing, Sheridan registered a .337 percent blood-alcohol content, City Police reported. That is more than four times the legal limit of .08 percent.

Sheridan was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

Meanwhile, in an incident occurring at approximately 11 a.m. Tuesday, Greencastle Officer Nick Eastham was dispatched to the drive-through at Teacher’s Credit Union in Putnam Plaza on the report of a subject allegedly passed out in his vehicle.

Brandon Rumley, 40, of Greencastle, was arrested on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of psychedelic mushrooms, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

During the course of the investigation, GPD officer reported found items on Rumley and in his vehicle that included one baggy containing eight round white pills identified as Acetaminophen and Oxycodone Hydrochloride; one baggy containing 14.5 round blue pills identified at Alprazolam; marijuana; and three baggies of psilocybin mushrooms.

Rumley was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

Officer Eastham was assisted at the scene by Sgt. Ed Wilson.
