Michael Kent Sutherlin

Michael Kent Sutherlin, 59, formerly of Fillmore, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2017 after a long battle with kidney disease.

He was born Sept. 24, 1957 in Putnam County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth (Kenny) Sutherlin and Thelma Jean Sutherlin-Olsen; his beloved wife, Sandie Sutherlin; and a brother-in-law, Bob O'Brien.

He is survived by his daughter, Beth Sutherlin-Cheeseman (fiance Charles Spiker); a son, Josh Fallon; a brother, Allen Sutherlin (Elizabeth); three sisters, Diane O'Brien, Kathy Sutherlin and Connie Hamilton (Mike); three grandchildren, Dixie Mason, Kearston Paul and Jonathen Spiker; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He is also survived by several close friends, Nathan Reeves, Jane Ann Harrison-Hilton, Rick Price, Lisa Boone and many others.

Michael was a devout Christian, an avid music lover and an Indianapolis Colts fanatic.

A memorial celebration of his life is being held Sunday, Feb. 26 at 2:30 p.m. at Fillmore Christian Church.

Since Michael was such the Colts fanatic, it is asked that all who attend come dressed in your best Colts' gear.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Kidney Foundation of the Fillmore Christian Church.
