Vera A. Chapman

Vera A. Chapman, 91, of Brownsburg, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in Brownsburg.

Vera was born April 30, 1925 in Greencastle to Bert E. and Grace Roberts.

She was a 1943 graduate of Greencastle High School and worked for the Hendricks County Bank in Plainfield for many years prior to her retirement.

Vera attended the Connection Pointe Christian Church in Brownsburg, and had been a member of the First Christian Church.

Vera was an avid bridge player and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Brookhart; grandchildren Jennifer Otahal (Scott) and Jimmi Brookhart; grandchildren, Kailen and Braden Otahal and Zachary and Marissa Brookhart; nephews, Barry Steven Haskett and James Roberts; niece, Sharon Collinson; she is also survived by her adopted grandsons, Tom, Cliff, Keith and Pat.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Chapman, and sister, Maxine Haskett.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, March 4 in Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, where the family will receive friends two hours prior to the time of the service.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Forest Hill Cemetery.
