Timm, Booth paintings in exhibit at Frankfort expo

A painting exhibition featuring new works by artist Barbara Fields Timm, the Putnam County Public Library director of programs and assistant professor of art, and DePauw University alumnus Eileen Emison Booth, will be among the featured exhibits Saturday, March 4 at the Frankfort Community Public Library’s Women’s Expo.

The event will run from 10 a.m.-4 p m.

Opening speaker for the event, Sarah Gerkensmeyer, event organizer Jamie Anderson and Booth are all 2001 graduates of DePauw.

Gerkensmeyer, author of “What You are Now Enjoying” and Pushcart Prize nominee and finalist for the Katherine Anne Porter Prize for Short Fiction, will speak on the topic of chasing aspirations.

The expo is a celebration of women and women-owned businesses and is designed to be an empowering experience for girls, women and aspiring entrepreneurs.
