South Putnam, North Putnam plan baseball fundraisers

South Putnam will be having its annual Red-Blue baseball scrimmage starting at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Admission is a goodwill donation, with a minimum of $5 appreciated.

The Eagles’ snack bar will be open, and fans are encouraged to come out and preview the 2017 team as it prepares for its season opener.

All proceeds will benefit the South Putnam Baseball Boosters.

At North Putnam, the Cougars will be hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Saturday as a fundraiser for the baseball team.

Teams may consist up to four people and can be coed, but do not have to be coed.

The registration cost is $40 per team. There will be three divisions — middle school (ages 12-14), high school (ages 15-18) and adults (ages 19 and up).

The tourney will be double elimination, and games will start at 9 a.m.
