Barbara Jane Etcheson

Barbara Jane Etcheson, 87, formerly of Roachdale, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2017 in Brownsburg.

Born July 27, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Dwight and Naomi Carson.

A 1947 graduate of Roachdale High School, she was a member of the Roachdale Christian Church.

She married William E. Etcheson Jr. on May 29, 1948. He passed away on Jan. 5, 2000.

She was also preceded in death by her four siblings, Harold Rex Wendling, Jack R. Wendling, Betty Jean Eggert and Joan Johnson, and one granddaughter, Rachyle Rodighiero.

Barbara enjoyed cooking, traveling, music, dancing and spending time with her family.

She was a devoted wife and mother of three daughters, Trudy L. Kennedy, Roachdale, Toni L. Lasley (Sam), Indianapolis, and Tracy L. West (Tom), The Villages, Fla.; a son, William E. "Trey" Etcheson III (Kelly), Ladoga; seven grandchildren, James L. Kennedy III, Sarah Poynter, Jeff Lasley (Marissa), Braden W. Etcheson (Lindsey), Lianna R. Beamon (Jerel), Shelby R. Etcheson and William Tyler Etcheson; two stepgrandchildren, Allie Collins (Ethan) and Katie Norris, along with 16 great-grandchildren.

There will be no public services. Barbara will be laid to rest beside her late husband, William Etcheson, in Roachdale Cemetery.
