Drainage stucture work to close State Road 42

EMINENCE -- The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced that State Road 42, approximately seven miles east of U.S. 231, will close for construction on or after Monday, April 3.

The project will replace two drainage structures in western Morgan County, just west of North Bowman Road, near Eminence.

The closure is scheduled to last through the middle of October of this year.

The detour utilizes U.S. 231 to I-70 to the Little Point Exit 51, CR 1100 and back.

The project was awarded to Milestone Contractors for $597,250.
