Combs chosen for Top 100

Cloverdale sophomore Tori Combs has been selected to participate in the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Top 100 Underclassmen Showcase at Ben Davis on July 12.

Combs, the 2016-17 Banner Graphic Player of the Year, averaged 17.2 points and 12.5 rebounds (seventh best in the state) last season in leading Cloverdale to its best season his school history. The Clovers finished with a 16-9 record and were sectional runnerup for the first time.

Combs also averaged 5.0 steals per game, which ranked 14th in the state, as well as 2.2 assists and 1.6 blocks per game.

She shot 53 percent from the field and had 21 double-doubles – which ranked her 64th nationally and tied her for the state lead with Indiana All-Star Macee Williams of Fountain Central and Katrina Christian of Crothersville.

Combs also had two triple-doubles.
