Opening session of Talk to Lawyer program set Tuesday

Wednesday, March 29, 2017

Members of the public who cannot afford to hire an attorney are encouraged to take advantage of a free public service presented by the Putnam County courts and bar association, District 10 Pro-Bono Services, DePauw University, the Indiana Bar Foundation and Faegre Baker Daniels.

The "Talk to a Lawyer" clinics will be conducted on the first Tuesday of each month from 5-7 p.m. at the Putnam County Courthouse in Greencastle. The first program will be on Tuesday, April 4.

Persons can meet with an attorney to ask basic civil (not criminal) legal questions.

Attorneys will provide free, one-on-one legal consultations as a community service with a focus on serving low-income residents.
