F. Eloise Masten, 76, of Bloomington, died Thursday, March 30, 2017 in IU Health, Bloomington Hospital.

She was born June 22, 1940 in Freedom, Ind., to Frank Martin and Dorothy Bingham Martin.

Eloise was retired from Sears and had previously worked for Indiana Bell.

On Aug. 5, 1958 she married Warren Masten in San Diego, Calif., and he preceded her in death on April 10, 1996 after 38 years of marriage.

Survivors include her son, Eric Lee Masten and wife Heidi of Bloomington; a daughter, Jennifer Helen Gilbert and husband Ryan of Plano, Ill.; three grandsons, Evan and Hank Masten and Gavin Gilbert; two granddaughters, Halle Masten and Ellie Gilbert; a brother, David Martin of Tulsa, Okla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Helen Brown, who died the day before Eloise.

Eloise was a member of First Christian Church.

She also enjoyed reading, traveling with her sister Helen and spending time with her grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, April 6 in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W. Gourley Pike, Bloomington, with Pastor Helen Hempfling officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle.

There will be a gathering of family and friends prior to services on Thursday from 9-11 a.m.
