Gleaners senior giveaway Thursday

The Gleaners Senior Mobile Pantry will return to Greencastle on April 6 at the National Guard Armory, located at the corner of Shadowlawn Avenue and North Arlington Street.

The food giveaway, open only to seniors age 55 and older, will be conducted from 10 a.m.-noon. Participants are asked not to arrive before 9:30 a.m.

Besides being 55 and older, participants must also be Putnam County residents in order to participate in the food giveaway.

Those taking part should bring their own sacks or boxes and provide identification to verify eligibility.

Gleaners regularly conducts the senior food giveaway on the second Thursday of each month in Greencastle.
