BAINBRIDGE — No criminal charges will be filed in a January shooting at a Bainbridge business.

The Jan. 22 incident involved a possible trespass at King Tiger British Motorcycle Repair, a shooting and the hospitalization of one man.

Putnam County Prosecutor Tim Bookwalter has announced that neither man will face charges in the incident in which 55-year-old Troy Murphy was shot by 52-year-old Rob Gibson.

For unknown reasons, Murphy was on the grounds of Gibson’s shop on Pat Rady Way (U.S. 36) at around 1 a.m.

Bookwalter has notified both parties that his office will pursue the issue no further.

Following the Jan. 22 incident, Murphy was taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where he required surgery and an extended stay for his condition.

In addition to no official charges being filed by the prosecutor’s office, neither man was arrested by sheriff’s deputies during the course of the investigation.
