Barbara Lee 'Bobby' Monnett

Barbara Lee "Bobby" Monnett, 83, of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.

She was born on March 12, 1934 in Greencastle to Walter L. Bryan and Kathleen O'Conner Bryan.

Bobby was a 1952 graduate of Greencastle High School, had been employed at Prevo's, and owned and operated the Chateau Theatre.

She was a former member of Tri Kappa Sorority and had been active in PTA and Girl Scouts as a leader.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter L. Bryan; stepfather Harold G. Reckley; mother Kathleen "Kay" Reckley; son Larry D. Monnett; and husband Donald L. Monnett.

Surviving are her children, Kathy L. Jones of Greencastle, and Matthew D. Monnett of Indianapolis; two grandsons, Jacob (Kathleen Lee) Jones and Cody (Adrianne) Jones; three great-grandchildren plus one on the way in May; and three half-siblings, Doug Bryan, Alan Bryan and Debbie Bryan.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to Bittles and Hurt/Hopkins-Rector Funeral Homes, Greencastle.
