CPD seeks help finding armed robbery suspect

CLOVERDALE — Police are investigating an early-morning Thursday armed robbery at a Cloverdale gas station.

Shortly after midnight, Cloverdale Police, officers along with officers from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department and Indiana State Police, responded to an armed robbery at Casey’s General Store, 355 N. Main St.

A white male suspect, masked, dressed in black and armed with a handgun, entered the store and demanded money from the clerk.

The suspect exited the store and fled northbound on foot.

There were only two Casey’s store employees in the store during the time of the robbery and neither employee was injured.

Police are continuing to collect evidence, interview potential witnesses and follow leads.
