Low-cost microchip clinic set

Sunday, April 9, 2017

The Humane Society of Putnam County (HSPC) is sponsoring a low-cost microchip clinic for dogs owned by Putnam County residents.

The clinic will be Saturday, April 15 from 9 a.m.–noon in the parking lot of the Heritage Lake POA clubhouse. If raining, it will be in the basement of the building.

The cost is $10 per dog, payable by cash or check. There is no limit on the number of dogs per family that may be microchipped, but the HSPC asks that residents only bring as many dogs as they can handle. All dogs should be on a non-retractable leash.

Owners should bring proof of their dog’s rabies vaccination, either a current rabies tag or a veterinarian’s form indicating that the dog is current on its rabies shots if the dog has a three-year vaccination.

For more information, persons may call Don Williams at 246-6876.
