County Jail

Seven people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 6:29 p.m. Bradford Jordan McKamey Linker, 24, Cloverdale, was charged with probation violation.

• At 10:10 a.m. Keven Dale Crowe, 25, Coatesville, was lodged at the jail for violation of home detention.

• At 9:36 a.m. Timothy Dale Ruble, 34, Anderson, was arrested on a writ of body attachment.

• At 4:05 a.m. Alani Lynn Tate, 28, Terre Haute, was booked in for driving without ever receiving a license.

Tuesday

• At 4:21 p.m. Heath A. Cloncs, 29, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on a writ of body attachment.

• At 3:08 p.m. Johannah Marie Kellie, 26, Lafayette, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 1:57 p.m. Amy Lynn Fultz, 45, Brazil, was booked in on a local warrant.

City Police

Two recent citations were issued by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 12:55 a.m. Thursday, David Ritter, 21, Bainbridge, was ticketed by Officer Alec Pettit.

Stopped on Indianapolis Road, Ritter was cited for an infraction of driving with a suspended license.

• At 1:45 p.m Tuesday, Jamie Baker, 25, Quincy, was cited by Officer Kyle Lee.

Baker was stopped at Washington and Markets sreets for having an expired license plate (Feb. 14).

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department recently responded to eight dispatches.

• At 2:24 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD responded to a fire alarm due to a pull station at 807 S. College Ave. GFD reset the alarm and returned to station at 2:50 p.m.

• At 10:18 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD responded to a fire alarm due to cooking at 109 W. Hanna St. GFD reset the alarm and returned to station at 10:28 p.m.

• At 11:48 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 208 E. Olive St. GFD determined the alarm had been activated unnecessarily for an unknown reason before returning to station at midnight.

• At 2:49 a.m. on Wednesday, GFD responded to another fire alarm at 807 S. College Ave. GFD was unable to determine the cause of the alarm and contacted DePauw University maintenance crews to resolve the matter. GFD subsequently reset the alarm and returned to station at 3:05 a.m.

• At 6:08 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD responded to a fire alarm due to smoking at 208 E. Olive St. GFD reset the alarm and returned to station at 6:22 p.m.

• At 7:12 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD responded to a smoke scare at 7 E. Larrabee St. The alarm was believed to have been activated by smoke produced by a belt in an air-handler unit (air conditioner). GFD advised the residents before returning to station at 7:54 p.m.

• At 8:52 a.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to a fire alarm due to unknown reasons at 409 S. Jackson St. GFD reset the alarm and subsequently returned to station at 9:01 a.m.
